Mom's Nite Out

Guest Post: Busy Moms Need a Night Out in Raleigh, North Carolina!

With Mother’s Day 2011 just days away, you may be wondering if this is the year you’ll finally get what you were hoping for. Surely your family can see you are a busy Mom in need of a night out right? Well just in case that’s not on their list of gifts for you, I’m here to tell you a Mom’s Nite Out is completely within your reach! On Thursday, May 5th, Moms from across the country will be celebrating National Moms Nite Out both in real life and online and you can be part of the fun!

In Raleigh, North Carolina, we’ve partnered with the Greater Raleigh Convention and Visitors Bureau as our signature host for Raleigh’s Moms Nite Out.  An exclusive event for invited social Media Moms from across North Carolina, we will celebrate from 7-9 pm EST at Solas, an upscale urban restaurant and nightlife hotspot in the heart of Glenwood South.  This trendy setting is the perfect backdrop for an engaging and fun evening introducing Raleigh as the dynamic, unexpected, celebratory, and smart city that we’ve all grown to love.  With $3 billion in development, our state capital has gone from a sleepy southern Mayberry to a progressive destination in demand.  Raleigh offers world class museums, culinary superstars, more live music venues than anywhere else in the state, professional sports, vibrant festivals, nationally recognized theater, opera, symphony, and ballet companies, and local artisans using local products and making a name for themselves on national stage.  Clearly, Raleigh has it all!

Exciting and fresh, the GRCVB understands not just its home town but how unique and different the visiting families can be.  With a unique “Which Greater Raleigh Visitor Are You?” Tool, while planning her travel a busy Mom can plug in her interests and learn how to to Visit Raleigh her way, as a Foodie or Fashionista, Creative Genius or Music Maniac, the options are endless and just waiting to be discovered.   During the event, Social Media Moms will be pampered by Primp Salon Bar and Massage Envy while learning all about Raleigh and we invite Moms from home to join us as well.  The GRCVB and its partners have a few surprises in-store for both event guests and online Moms in the chat room and on Twitter.  Plan to join us from 8-9 or the live-stream portion of the night where we’ll show you all the fun, chat with Moms from across the state, and meet key partners that make Raleigh truly a spectacular place to be!

Are you planning to give yourself a night out this Mother’s Day?  Let us make it easy for you ~ see you Thursday online!
