Stroller Love! Romero Britto Adds Fabulous Designs to New Baby Gear Line

I am a huge fan of Romero Britto for many reasons, not the least of which are his unique, vibrant works and his hometown of Miami (in our backyard :) ). The latest reason to love Britto is for his collaboration on a special edition product line featuring the artist’s contemporary work on luxury strollers, car seats and accessories by Quinny® and Maxi-Cosi®.

Take a look, this is gorgeous!

Britto’s Miami Beach studio was a mom’s dream recently when these new products were unveiled to the press at the end of August. Mary on my team came back from Miami Beach drooling over the new line, the fantastic event and wanting a baby just to use the Moodd Stroller! Highlighted by Britto and Pilar Steinborn, a distinguished fashion stylist and mom, the luncheon’s theme focused on “The Art of Parenting”, art’s influence in children’s lives and of course, the lineup of beautiful, functional baby gear!

Mary had a chance to chat with Pilar and her beautiful twins during the luncheon. Pilar, charming as well as approachable, offered fantastic advice on finding and maintaining clothing and fashion styles that work for busy moms. Representatives from Dorel Juvenile Group (DJG), a division of Dorel Industries Inc. and the nation’s largest juvenile products manufacturer, were also on hand at the event to demonstrate the features of the stroller, speak about the partnership with Britto and address the safety and quality of the products.

“Through my art I hope to inspire warmth, creativity and happiness. The Quinny and Maxi-Cosi brands are a perfect marriage to further spread optimism and happiness reaching even the youngest children,” said Romero Britto. “Through this partnership we are able to deliver inspiring designs to moms, dads and children around the world.” Hear what Britto had to say at the launch event:

“Quinny and Maxi-Cosi have always been known for their trend setting style and innovative sophisticated design. Romero’s artwork has elevated stand out design to a whole new level. This unique new collection features his artwork in a way never before seen in the stroller and car seat categories,” said Dan Pennacchio, General Manager of international Brands at Dorel Juvenile Group. “In partnership with Quinny and Maxi-Cosi, Britto brings his commanding compositions to our top of the line products to help parents express their style, while his visual language helps us bring hope and happiness to families around the world through this special collection of products.”

Britto’s artwork features a universal language of happiness that creates a vibrant, iconic style that The New York Times describes, “exudes warmth, optimism and love”. Britto’s pop sensibility has since lent itself to many collaborations with internationally recognized brands, now expanding to the juvenile products category with a collaboration with Quinny and Maxi-Cosi.

Not only were the strollers and car seats on display, the entire studio was a delight to browse through, filled with Britto’s fabulous designs and artwork. Everything drew the eye and made for a fair amount of browsing, from a gorgeous chess set to items for back-to-school like notebooks and pens. Our favorite collaboration is the Disney collection, naturally!
